Abbreviations are used to keep the diagrams from becoming too cluttered: VF = valley fold; MtF = mountain fold; FUF = fold and unfold, or pre-crease; IRF = inside reverse fold; ORF = outside reverse fold; RB = repeat behind; WSU = white side up; CSU = colored side up. A small “F” near a folded edge indicates that the edge is flattened out in the next drawing, usually as the result of a squash fold.
